Museum miners  

 We create temporary exhibitions to give our communities access to a variety of aspects of their history and culture. Our temporary exhibition programme runs at  Blackridge , Broxburn and Whitburn Community Museums alongside the permanent displays.

Many exhibitions also tour to Armadale and Linlithgow Libraries when the display cases there are not required for community use.

6 October 2008 - 24th January 2009: A Century of West Lothian Women

Women's lives in the 20th Century illustrated through photographs and objects.

Blackridge Community Museum

22 September - 5 December: Levi's Uncut

People from all over West Lothian worked at Levi's in Whitburn for 30 years. This is the story of life on the production line in the workers' own words.

Broxburn Library

8th September - 22nd November: Call to Arms

Recalling the profound effect of the Great War on the people of West Lothian ninety years after the Armistice.

Linlithgow Library
