Help for adults - housing support

West Lothian Council funds a number of services to support people to live in their own homes and local communities. Housing support organisations offer a range of services to help people keep their homes and live independently in the community. Support can be provided to help you to:

  • Keep your home and avoid being homeless
  • Find a home that meets your needs
  • Maintain your home
  • Meet your responsibilities as a tenant or home owner
  • Get involved with your local community

To find the right housing support service for you, please phone 01506 281065 or 281066. You will be given information about who to contact and what to do to get a service.

Housing support services are purchased and monitored by the Contracts and Commissioning Team (details below). The team works with colleagues within the council and others to identify the services required and to develop contracts that ensure that we are continually improving our responses. The team monitors services to ensure they are good quality, meet the needs of service users and provide value for money.
