Police service in West Lothian

Lothian and Borders Police logo

West Lothian has a population of over 160,000.  The area stretches westwards from Edinburgh and borders the City of Edinburgh, South Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire and Falkirk councils.  The M8 and M9 motorways run through the division making it popular as a distribution base and for commuting to both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The police work closely with community planning partners such as the council, NHS Lothian and voluntary organisations to improve the quality of life for West Lothian's citizens.
