Successful open day at the Wee Croft
The Wee Croft community centre at Stoneyburn held a successful open day recently.
Last year, youngsters at the centre helped landscape the garden of the flat in which the Wee Croft is located.

Centre joins the space age
Space-age technology has arrived at West Calder health and fitness centre.
For the technology behind the centre's new Power Plate facility was developed to help combat microgravity in astronauts whilst in space.
Isla Hughes, fitness manager at the centre, said: "The whole concept and reasoning behind our introduction of this machine was to enhance able bodied people's training experience, but also to include people with various types of disability or chronic medical conditions as we were not providing training options for disabled people at all."
One of the first disabled people to try out the new power plate was Kevin Thomas. "It's really helping me," he told Community News.
Isla added: "The intention is to help manage specific conditions such as Idiopathic peripheral neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease cerebral palsy and rheumatoid arthritis."

Polbeth soccer school
Polbeth United Community Football Club soccer school takes place on a Tuesday night at Limefield Park, Polbeth, between 6.30pm and 7.30pm for boys and girls aged four upwards.
