*£10 would buy an emergency food hamper or a scarf and glove set
*£20 would buy a bed linen pack or a voucher for clothing
*£100 would take 10 young people on an outing to the cinema or buy them each a small Christmas gift

Leave a message on the Just Giving website and your best wishes will also be forwarded to the young people - so that they will know that you care.

Director, Rob Jahoda, said: "All Charities are finding it tougher this year but small charities like Open Door are finding it particularly difficult.  Being away from their family network and friends is hard at any time of the years, but it is particularly hard at Christmas.  When most people are settling down for Christmas day with their families our young people are on their own.

Make a donation to the homeless charity Open Door, and the links to the animated Christmas cards will be emailed back to you. "At Open Door we do our best to make it a happy time and a small gift really matters and to know that it is supported by the community is important. We rely on donations to make the festive period special for the people that we help.  Without donations we simply can't afford to buy gifts or provide the most basic of festive treats."  For more information visit Open Door's website (new window) .
