Community Recycling Centres
We would also remind householders that we are not able to collect any waste or recyclate that is not contained within the bin. If people do have any excess waste or recyclate this should be taken to our Community Recycling Centres at Broxburn, Blackburn, Linlithgow, Deans and Oakbank in Livingston, and Whitburn. Use the 'find my nearest' service.
The recycling centres are closed on both Christmas Day and New Years Day, reopening on both Boxing Day and 2 January from 9am till 6pm. They will operate as normal on all other days.
You can also recycle real Christmas trees and any garden waste or leaves at any recycling centre, or through our one-off brown bin collection in January. Please see your collection calendar for details.
Thank you and Merry Christmas from the refuse collection team.
West Lothian Council collects domestic refuse in all areas of the district on a regular basis and also provide a wide range of facilities throughout to recycle.
