  1. Abandoned Vehicles (Environmental Enforcement Wardens (new window))
  2. Air / Atmospheric pollution (Environmental Health (new window) - except some large industrial premises, which are covered by SEPA)
  3. Bonfires / Burning (Environmental Health (new window))
  4. Contaminated Land (Development Planning (new window) - phone Neil Brown on 01506 282423 or email neil.brown@westlothian.gov.uk )
  5. Dog Fouling (Environmental Enforcement Wardens (new window) in public areas, Environmental Health (new window) on private ground)
  6. Dust (Environmental Health (new window))
  7. Fly tipping (Environmental Enforcement Wardens (new window), in partnership with SEPA (new window))
  8. Light (Environmental Health (new window))
  9. Litter (Environmental Enforcement Wardens (new window))
  10. Noise (Environmental Health (new window), except neighbour noise which is dealt with by the Neighbourhood Response Team and some large industrial premises, which are covered by SEPA (new window))
  11. Odour (Environmental Health (new window))
  12. Vehicle emissions and idling (Environmental Health (new window))

Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA (new window)) deals with:

  • Water pollution
  • Waste management
